Cornwall Part 1

It was half term holidays from school last week so Mouse decided to make the most of his free time and head for Cornwall in the UK for a well earned rest.

Every visitor to Cornwall has to go to Lands End and Mouse is no exception.

It was very windy as you would expect from a place at the corner of the country but Mouse was brave enough to risk standing on the edge of the cliff for a picture with the famous signpost.  Although he was too busy looking at how far his home is to smile for the camera.

He also found another suitable spot to pose in a less risky position.

While he was at Lands End, Mouse saw a brave person arrive on a bicycle who had ridden all the way from John O Groats in Scotland.  The famous Lands End to John O Groats journey.  This inspired Mouse and he vowed one day that he and his best mate Peanut Rabbit would complete this adventure and earn their place in The Club.

The next place on Mouse's list to visit is the Mouse equivalent of Mecca.................Mousehole of course.

Mouse was in his element amongst so many Mousey things.

Even the boats had awesome names.

It is a tradition in the UK that whenever you visit the seaside, you just have to have fish and chips by the sea so Mouse thought that there would be no better place than Mousehole.

Mouse carried on exploring to walk off his lunch and stopped for a rest in a handy place.  For some reason, while he was resting he had a sudden urge to try a Cornish Cream Tea.

Two warm fruit scones, strawberry jam and a huge dollop of the finest Cornish Clotted Cream.  Mouse couldn't wait to dive in.

Eating the scones without getting in a mess was a bit tricky.

Mouse really enjoyed his trip to Lands End and Mousehole but had been so busy that he was shattered and needed a sleep.  He went back to his hotel for a rest and to plan what he could get up to next.

Part 2 of Mouse's trip to Cornwall is coming soon.

Off Road Mouse!
Mouse has been in a happy mood for the last few days because the warmer spring weather has arrived.  After a whole winter of being couped up inside or being cold, he couldn't wait to get out into the countryside to let off some steam.

How better to blow the cobwebs away than with a bit of off road quad biking.

After a quick call to Daisy Mouse to arrange to meet her later, Mouse got his stuff together and hit the dirt.

He started with some steps.

That was great fun and very bumpy.  He then headed for the mole hills.

Having done a lot of jumping he went really fast on the dirt track.

His quad bike was getting dirty so the obvious thing to do was splash in the water.

Mouse had been having so much fun that he hadn't realised what the time was and suddenly thought he was going to be late to meet Daisy Mouse so he had to zoom across the fields to get there on time.

He got there right on time and Daisy seemed very impressed with Mouse's shiny quad bike.  She was eager to climb aboard and go for a ride.

Mouse took Daisy for a trip right around the lake.

Then on their way back to the big field, they bumped into Mouse's friend Peanut Rabbit.  Now Mouse is a bit like any other red blooded male and when faced with the situation of having his best mate, his girlfriend and his quad bike all together he couldn't resist the opportunity of trying to impress them with his riding skills.

First he went for no hands!
Daisy Mouse couldn't watch and was convinced that it would all end in tears.  Peanut Rabbit however cheered Mouse on to greater things.

Next came no feet !
Daisy Mouse was even more worried and pleaded with Mouse to stop being silly before he hurt himself.  Peanut Rabbit just cheered for more.

Next came, laying down backwards!  Daisy just couldn't stand it any more.
Of course, the inevitable happended and Daisy was quick jump to Mouse's aid.

So with a broken arm, and a bruised ego, Mouse is being nursed back to health by his best friend and his girlfriend.  Needless to say, it will be a while before Mouse is out on his quad bike again.  But not too long before he is back for another adventure.

Happy Easter From Mouse

Happy Easter!

Mouse has been having fun preparing for Easter by making the best Easter Bonnet there has ever been.

He has also been growing spring flowers to brighten up the window ledge.

Mouse woke up early this morning and couldn't wait to see if the Easter Bunny had paid him a visit.  He quickly grabbed his basket and went on the hunt for clues.  He found the first clue and was soon off on the trail, hunting down any delicious goodies that the Easter Bunny had dropped for him.

The Easter Bunny had certainly been busy and had Mouse running all over the garden solving clues and collecting goodies.

There was even some chocolate to be found on the car!

Mouse was so pleased with his haul of chocolate that he got a bit silly and decided to climb into his basket with all the eggs.

He soon realised that this wasn't such a good idea though as those easter Chicks can be a bit lively.

So he decided to get rid of some of the stockpile by eating it.

The problem is, Mouse is just like any excited rodent at Easter and just doesn't know when to stop.  He was soon feeling a little sick and had to have an egg cup ready in case of emergency.

The sick feeling didn't last too long though and certainly hasn't put Mouse off the taste of chocolate.  However, sense got the better of him and he decided to have a nap before eating any more.  So he laid down, on his chocolate, rested his head, on his chocolate and dreamed............of chocolate.

Mouse will be back soon and wishes everyone a very happy Easter.

Time to Book a Holiday

It is snowing again at the moment where Mouse lives so it has made him think about booking a holiday for something to look forward to.  So it was off to the Travel Agent to get some brochures.  No decision has been made yet but the sight of all the wonderful pictures in the brochures made Mouse remember the fun time he had in Gran Canaria last year and he thought he would take a look through the photo album.

Here is mouse in front of the bungalow he stayed in.

The first thing to do when you are on holiday..........to the pool !

Mouse didn't want to spend the whole holiday by the pool and loves to explore so a drive in the mountains was just what he needed.  Fresh air, great views and away from the hustle and bustle for a while.

There is always time to relax and take in the scenery for a while.

The Aloe plants in the mountains were huge.

The trusty little car served mouse well on all those really steep roads.

It was fun being in the mountains for the day but no holiday would be complete without a trip to the beach.

Mouse wasted no time putting his bucket and spade to use and didn't mind the sand getting in his whiskers at all.

Aaaah, this is the life!

Mouse never wants to waste his whole holiday just laying in the sun so it was time for some more exploring the next day.  It was off to Puerto de Mogan, a lovely old fishing town with lots of boats to look at.

Safety first!  Mouse likes to know where the life saving gear is located when he is near to water.

There was even a submarine that mouse went in to see what was under the sea.

After the submarine has showed Mouse what lives under the sea, he was keen to go for a trip on a normal boat.  It was fantastic being out in the fresh ocean air and Mouse was amazed when some friendly dolphins came to say hello.

Mouse did put on a few pounds while he was away, but surely it wasn't from all the ice cream !

Or Tiramisu?

Or Triple Chocolate Cheesecake !!!!
Hopefully Mouse will have just as much fun on holiday this year and he will be keen to share his holiday snaps again for sure.
